Dima and Misha are drinking Burgundy.
In the old Burgundian cellars Dima and Misha are welcomed by Véronique Boss-Drouhin, the granddaughter of the great Joseph and the head winemaker of the domain. She knows everything there is to know about wine and also the Russian for "thanks". While Dima knows how to pronounce the name "Drouhin" - and shows it.
Together we’ll visit giant old cellars (1 ha in area), spin the wheel of the wine press and find out something about how Misha’s whole worldview changed - that happened when he tasted eight Pinot noirs from one year and the same producer in succession. Not everybody can manage such a feat, and not many are able to make the conclusion Misha came to: what true wine really is.
Interested in some tips? Véronique will point us towards a trend - what wine is worth investing into into nowadays. And, of course, we’ll see how Dima and Misha taste Chablis, Batard-Montrachet, Clos des Mouches and some other old wines blind.
And just look how Véronique handles a corkscrew! She also mentions the three most great wines in her life - you can’t miss it!
